Family Room Transformation

These clients were ready for a complete transformation of their main level Family Room. With a desire to move away from a traditional aesthetic, we had to keep in mind that this space co-exists with the other rooms that it opens up to. And that for the time being are still traditional.

We started from the bottom up. The rug, though neutral in pattern and color, provided both depth and contrast with the slightly raised, tufted antique, white pattern atop the hooked gray/brown base.

We chose seating with clean, simple lines while possessing unique characteristics of their own. The creamy white leather sectional has an open end bumper chaise, providing more visual interest than a typical L shaped sectional.

The pair of chairs, suggestive of mid-century modern, boast a beautiful open frame back and base finished in a sable stain. The highly textured slate fabric is as handsome as the chairs themselves.

The rectangular ottoman with the crossbar metal base finished in antique gold and upholstered in a small scale chevron pattern with a fabulous faux mohair contrast welt is perfect for overflow seating as well as visual appeal.

The console table with the ash wood finish atop the dark hammered metal base creates a beautiful contrast while fusing many design elements.

We used a variety of different patterns, textures, and sizes of pillows for visual interest.

For our statement piece, the coffee table…this drum table is crafted from Kabebe Seashells that are inlaid and polished to a rich satin luster. WOW!
