Seasonal Switch Up

There’s something to be said about fall: I love the crisp mornings warming up to delightful humidity-free afternoons; these are days meant for hot drinks, football, and watching leaves turn vibrant.

With this seasonal switch, many of us change accessories and florals both inside and outside our home. We put away the flowers and accessories of spring and summer and change them for mums and pumpkins. We may even switch out seasonal pillows, adding ones that are chunky and soft, along with a warm throw to a sofa.

Lately, when selling furniture, I have noticed the trend seems to be moving toward neutral furniture with many rich textures, tone on tone neutrals, and leather. Whether it’s a cooler grey or a warmer cream tone, it seems to be the trend.

I love this!! As I tell my clients, when using neutrals, it’s so easy to change things up! A new rug, a few new pillows, or a piece of art can completely transform the space. Not to mention, changing decor for the seasons. Neutrals allow you to add colors and accessories from season to season without having to worry that a color scheme won’t work together.

So, take a moment to remove spring flowers from arrangements, and add some fall picks, grasses, and mums. Add a rustic lantern or a nice ceramic pumpkin to your space. Snuggle in and enjoy this wonderful season. Before we know it, the busy holidays will be here!
